Crohn’s & Colitis UK (CCUK)

3rd March 2016 by Marek

Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, affecting more than 300,000 people in the UK, yet they are largely hidden diseases and ones that causes stigma, fear and isolation. It is thought many people with the condition go undiagnosed and suffer in silence. It doesn’t have to be like this.

Anthea Shaw, TIW’s Head of Client Services, works pro-bono for Crohn’s & Colitis UK (CCUK) as the South Essex Organising Team’s Web, Social Media and eMail responder.

Anthea promotes awareness and supports fundraising for research into a cure for these debilitating conditions. For more information about the charity please visit their website and help in any way you can.
